Programs for Early Childhood

The Dundee Township Park District has many program choices for children beginning at 9 months to 6 years old. Each program emphasizes socialization, develop new skills and teaches children to gain independence. Programs and activities range from Tot Rock to T-Ball. For a full list of programs being offered please refer to your seasonal program brochure. If you did not receive one in the mail please stop by the Rakow Center at 665 Barrington Ave. in Carpentersville or Randall Oaks Recreation Center at 500 N. Randall Rd. in West Dundee to pick up a brochure or download it by clicking the brochure image located in the left column of this page.

Take a peek at a few of the many classes we offer:

• Summer Playtime (1-2 years with parent)
  Tuesdays/June 11-July 16
  Summer brings an opportunity to relax and enjoy some quality time with your little one. We will share songs, games and stories about the natural world around us.
• Sunflower Child (2-3 years with parent)
  Tuesdays/June 11-July 16
  Flutter by with a butterfly, pretend you are a cricket, hug a tree. Discover the world of nature through play, songs, stories and movement. Follow the instructor as she leads you through activities designed to look at nature through the eyes of your child.
• Fun To Be Three (3 years)
  Tuesdays & Thursdays/June 11-July 27
  Summer is a great time to make new friends, and this camp will help along the way. Together we will do crafts, sing songs, read books and just have fun in a camp that celebrates friendship and getting along with others.
• Parent & Tot Summer Yoga Fun (3-5 years with parent)
  Fridays/June 7-July 5
  Actively participate with your child as you both recharge your body through Yoga postures combined with basic tumbling. This class is designed to enhance posture, flexibility, relaxation, balance and patience.
