Outdoor SoccerListed below are the Sports Programs offered by the Dundee Township Park District. Youth Sports

Youth Sports Coaching Opportunities

As our programs grow, so does our need for coaches; the more coaches we have, the more teams can be formed. To volunteer please stop by the Rakow Center front desk and fill out an application. If we are able to place you as a coach, you will be contacted by Athletic Division Manager Hank Faulkner.

Racquetball

Enjoy the exciting and fast-paced sport of racquetball at one of the Rakow Center’s courts. Each court offers hardwood floors and climate control; two of them boast glass back walls. The courts may also be transformed for wallyball play. Come and enjoy the best maintained courts in the area. For more information about rates please view our seasonal brochure.

Racquetball Lessons

These lessons are for beginner/advanced beginners and stress the basic skills of backhand and forehand strokes. Rules and court etiquette will be addressed. Advanced beginners must have some racquetball experience. We also offer private lessons for two individuals maximum per lesson. For more information please view our seasonal brochure.

Pro Shop

We offer the following items for sale: Penn Racquetballs and Hand Balls. Racquetball repairs are through Custom Racquet Service. Leave your racquet at the Recreation Center front desk. Your racquet will be repaired and returned to you within one week. Patrons must pay fee for racquet service when dropping off their racquet.

Racquet stringing: $16.50-24.75
Racquet grips: $12.25
Grommet replacement: $12.00

Handball & Wallyball

Handball

If you would like to learn the exciting court sport of handball, Bill would be happy to teach you. Bill hosts a group of people most Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays during the noon hour at the Rakow Center. For more information, leave your name and phone number at the Rakow Center (847-428-7131) and Bill will get back to you.Volleyball

Wallyball

This game will have you bouncing off the walls! All four of our racquetball courts are designed to accommodate wallyball play, which is very similar to volleyball, but you can hit off the walls! Stop in today and make your reservation!

Court fees: $20/hour (one flat rate)

Walking Track

Did you know our walking track is free to use? Anyone 12 years of age and older may use the track. Children ages 6-11 must be accompanied by an adult. Children five years and younger may not be on the track. No street shoes or strollers allowed.

Randall Oaks Recreation Center Track Hours
Monday-Friday: 5:00 am-9:45 pm

Open Gym

Stay active all year round! Gather your friends, practice your moves, or spend time with your family at Open Gym located at the Rakow Center and Randall Oaks Recreation Center. Drop in for basketball or volleyball action on the days and hours listed in our seasonal brochure. Courts are available on a first-come, first served basis.

Note: Please bring your own basketball to open gym. Basketballs will not be provided.

Open Gym Fees

Adults 18 years & older: $5
Volleyball Open Gym: $5
High school: $3
Grade school: $2
Members: Free (ID is required)

Open Gym Guidelines

  • Fitness Center members need to present your ID card each time.
  • Non-members must show proof of residency to pay resident rates.
  • Children must be accompanied by a parent.
  • Full-court games may be restricted, based on numbers
  • No dunking.
  • Basketball games played to 11 points – each basket is 1 point.
  • After three wins, a team must sit out until next available game.
  • Players must control their language, or they may be asked to leave.
