Barb Lachel Memorial Tennis Clinic

Sign up for the first tennis clinic to be held on our NEW tennis courts at Huffman Park, Tartans Dr. and Huntley Rd, West Dundee. The clinic is one day in length and promises to be a learning and enjoyable time.

The purpose of the clinic is to give fundamental instruction and information to several age groups. Each group will be given instruction on grips, volley, strokes and serve. The level of instruction will vary with the age and ability of the groups. The objective will be to give basic fundamentals from which
participants can improve their game. All three Barb Lachel
tennis courts will be used for instruction with six instructors to give each group maximum hitting time and instruction.

Instructors will be Bud Lachel, Head Tennis Coach at Cary Grove High School, Laura Bender, Assistant Coach at Cary Grove High School, Janet Malecek, Tennis Coach at Dundee-Crown High School and 3 to 5 student instructors. Don’t delay. Sign up now and enjoy a fun day on our newest tennis courts!

Each participant will receive a Tennis Clinic T-Shirt if registered by June 7th. Please indicate the size on the registration form!

National Night Out - August 5

The West Dundee Police Department, in conjunction with the national sponsor Target and local sponsor Dundee Township Park District, invites the community to the 25th annual National Night Out. The event will be held at the Target in West Dundee on Tuesday, August 5th from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. National Night Out is designed to heighten crime prevention awareness and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships. This community-wide event is free and includes many fun activities. Activities include food, K9 demonstrations, bicycle registrations, child identification kits, plenty of games and much more.

Delighting family audiences with its unique musical variety comedy show, these talented members are multi-instrumentalists and accomplished vocalists. Their show combines musical virtuosity with impersonations, audience participation and laughter.

(The Randall Oaks Zoo will feature “Dollar Days” from 5-7 p.m. in honor of the zoo opening for summer. Admissions are $1 per person and each family will be given 1 free bag of feed.)

Come and enjoy some good music as we wind down summer. Randall Oaks Zoo will have “Dollar Days” where admission is $1 per person and each family will receive one free bag of feed. Free hayrides will be offered from
7-8:30 p.m. as well as programs at Centerville School. Bring the whole family out for a fun evening!

*Carpentersville Lions Club will be selling food and drinks at the concerts as a fundraiser for the community.
