Raceway Woods Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are needed to help with projects ranging from trail maintenance to native plantings. No experience is necessary and volunteer workdays are great for families and scout groups as well as individuals.
Location: Workdays leave from the Raceway Woods parking lot on the west side of Route 31, north of Spring Hill Mall and just south of Gentle Breeze Road
Day/Time: Saturdays 9 am - Noon
Dates: May 10, June 14, off July and August, Sept. 13, Oct. 11, Nov. 8.

Parking is on the west side of Route 31, just south of Gentle Breeze Road and off of Huntley Rd., just west of Spring Hill Mall.

Hiking Trails For You To Enjoy!
Dundee Township offers lots of areas for people to get out and enjoy nature. This summer, get outdoors and try these places for hiking:

  • Fox River Shores Forest Preserve-7.5 miles of hiking trail and access to the Fox River Bike Trail that runs all the way from McHenry to Will County. 716 Williams Road in Carpentersville
  • Grandview Park-.5 mile walking trail. Westwood Drive in Carpentersville
  • Helm Woods Forest Preserve-3 miles of hiking trails. 157B Helm Road in Barrington Hills
  • Prairie Meadow Park-.5 mile walking trail. Village Quarter Road in West Dundee
  • Raceway Woods-over 5 miles of hiking trails. Entrances off Huntley Road and Route 31 in Carpentersville
  • Silverstone Lake Park-.5 mile walking trail. Cobblestone Drive & Glacier Trail in Carpentersville
