Flashlight Egg Hunt & Hayride | April 7 | 7:45-9:30 pm | Randall Oaks Recreation Center – Parking Lot • 500 N. Randall Rd., West Dundee
The adventure begins in the parking lot of Randall Oaks Recreation Center, where we will load the hay wagon* and head out to Randall Oaks Park for the hunt at the Community Shelter area. Children will need to bring their own flashlight with fresh batteries. Following the hunt, children will be taken back on the wagon to the starting point.

Board the hay wagon* at Randall Oaks Zoo for a trip to the hunting field. Once the hunt is complete, your child will return on the wagon to the starting point. After the hunt get a sneak peek at the zoo.

PREREGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. No same day registration. Please check in 15 minutes before the scheduled time as the wagon will leave promptly at its designated time. Family members may view the hunt from Randall Oaks Park Community Shelter. Small toys and candy are in the plastic eggs. Parental discretion should be used.
*Only registered hunters and one adult per hunter are permitted on hay wagon/may participate in hunt. No unregistered children may be on wagon or participate in the hunt.
Randall Oaks 5K & Kids Fun Runs | June 11 | Randall Oaks Recreation Center/Campus
Formerly the Donuts for Dad 5K • New Location/New Venue
The new course will take you throughout the scenic Randall Oaks campus. You’ll be running on our paved and limestone paths which accommodate running and walking strollers. Awards will be given to the overall men’s and women’s winners as well as the top three finishers for both men and women in each age division. T-shirts are guaranteed for all pre-registered runners and race day registration runners while supplies last.
Download the official race registration form beginning April 10. No other forms will be accepted. Preregistration is also available at www.signmeup.com. Preregistration closes June 6. *Race day registration is from 7:00-7:45 am for all runs.

In memory of Danny Blatz, the son of a former Park District employee, donations will be accepted on the day of the race to raise money for the Learning Disability Association (LDA).
2017 Splash & Dash Youth Triathlon | Saturday, July 15 | 5-19 years | Sleepy Hollow Pool neighborhood
The triathlon takes place in the Sleepy Hollow Pool neighborhood. Race distances are different for each age group and starts will be staggered to provide the best conditions for the participants and spectators. Participants receive a T-shirt. Awards ceremony will follow the completion of the triathlon. Medals will be awarded for 1st-3rd place in each age group for both genders. Note: Bike helmets are required. The Pursuit | August 19/10:00 am- 2:00 pm | 10 years & older | Grafelman Park
Think “Amazing Race” for our community. Details will be kept confidential until the day of the event. After meeting at Grafelman Park for check-in, you will receive your first clue. Wear comfortable clothes as you’ll travel on foot from clue to clue. We’ll test your knowledge of our community and challenge you to fun activities. You will strategically plan your course of action to complete each task. Will you be able to outsmart your competitors? Check-in begins at 9:30 am. Teams consist of four individuals: one team member must be 18 years or older.
