Join the 50+ Social Club
Everyone age 50 and older are welcome to join. Stay active and make some new friends. There is a variety of activities to choose from every day. In addition, members receive our bi-monthly newsletter as well as discounts.
Members receive an $8 discount on day trips and a $5 discount on programs.

Day Trips
Take a trip with the Dundee Township Park District and meet some new friends along the way! Adults 50+ years are invited to enjoy trips together, including new experiences, special events, restaurants, persformances, and some overnight trips to exciting locations. We often explore the city of Chicago, suburban areas, and even nearby states. Call for a list of upcoming trips.
Day Trip Refund Policy
Because we must finalize full payment six weeks prior to our event, the following procedures are always in place: If you must cancel your day trip, we will do our best to find a replacement. When a replacement is found, our Park District will issue a full refund. If we do not find a replacement, we are unable to refund your money. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Inspired by T.S. Eliot's poetry, Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical CATS delves into identity and redemption with memorable songs like “Memory.” Light on dialogue, it features captivating dance and music, winning Tony Awards for Best Musical and Best Original Score. Lunch at Fireside Grille with your choice of grilled chicken, meatloaf, Mediterranean pasta, or tilapia, with sides and dessert included.
A Jukebox for the Algonquin 29561
We will be having lunch at Lamb’s Farm whose motto is “May all who enter come as guests and leave as friends”. Your lunch choices will be a Turkey club sandwich, grilled chicken sandwich, portobello mushroom sandwich, a submarine sandwich with turkey ham and salami, a chopped salad or a chicken Caesar salad. A beverage and fries included with each meal. Next stop, the Citadel Theatre to see A Jukebox for the Algonquin - All the residents of Placid Pines Senior Care Center want a jukebox, but that simple request leads to a side-splitting roller coaster journey.
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat 19565
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a vibrant retelling of the biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, and his eleven brothers, featuring beloved songs like “Any Dream Will Do” and “Go, Go Joseph.” Attendees can enjoy lunch at Dover Straits, choosing from Pepper Steak, Pan-Fried Tilapia, Chicken Limon, or Jumbo French-Fried Shrimp.
Wayne Messmer's Traveling Piano Bar 19566
Wayne Messmer, renowned for singing the National Anthem for Chicago sports teams, will perform an entertaining hour of music with a pianist. Lunch features broasted chicken (light or dark), coleslaw, and a garlic beignet, along with coffee, tea, and dessert. Choose your chicken preference at registration. The last day to sign-up is Friday February 7.
Money, Money, MONEY Tour 29562
Our “money” tour includes a visit to the Money Museum at the Federal Reserve Bank, lunch and tour of Chicago focusing on “money” makers. Lunch is included in the cost of this trip with the destination to be determined later. There is a MODERATE amount of walking on this trip.

This cultural tour begins with a visit to the stunning Bahá'í House of Worship and Gardens. Afterward, we’ll enjoy lunch at Buck Russell’s, and we’ll conclude the day exploring the Mitchell Museum of the American Indian Lunch choices are a Northshore turkey club, Uncle Billy (corned beef w/swiss, pickles and spicy mustard), Caprese (vegetarian), Blackened chicken Caesar wrap or a garden Salad - choice of blackened chicken or tuna salad as protein(optional).

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY PARTY Jane Allyson will be here with her "Love Show" which will be songs performed with the word "love" in it. Whether single or a couple, everyone will enjoy this party. Lunch will be a salad, lasagna and garlic bread. The last day to sign up is Wednesday February 5th.

Bob Ibach and Tony Garofalo, former Cubs colleagues from the 1980s, share unforgettable behind-the-scenes stories from baseball, football, basketball, and hockey. Their anecdotes, often untold, promise laughter and emotional moments, revealing the hidden side of sports. Attendees will enjoy a hot dog lunch with chips and a non-alcoholic beverage while hearing these unique experiences. The last day to register is Monday, April 7.

Adult Activities Center Guidelines
The Dundee Township Park District Adult Activities Center endorses and supports a safe, fun, positive, and enriching environment where seniors, age 50 and over, are able to relax, socialize, and participate in recreation activities. Staff and patrons have the responsibility to conduct themselves in a manner that supports this goal.
The nature of this facility is a drop in center with both scheduled and self-directed activities. Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8:00 am-3:30 pm.
The following are the Dundee Township Park District Adult Activities Center guidelines while attending activities at the Adult Activities Center:
- The Dundee Township Park District Adult Activities Center staff is on site to provide general supervision and a welcoming environment to all patrons.
- Respectful and appropriate behavior is expected at all times when interacting with other patrons and staff.
- We encourage all patrons to carry current contact information in case of an emergency.
- All patrons are expected to be able to participate in any Dundee Township Park District activities on their own.
- Once scheduled activities begin, those arriving late may not be able to participate. All scheduled activities and times are listed in the Adult Activities Center newsletter.
- The Adult Activities Center does not provide supplies for all activities. Please come prepared with supplies.
- The Dundee Township Park District does not provide personal care to patrons in their progrmas.
- Seniors with caregivers are welcome to participate in Dundee Township Park District Adult Activities Center activities. Caregivers are expected to assist and participate in the program with the participating patron.
If the above guidelines are not followed, the Dundee Township Park District will initiate procedures based upon its patrons behavior and discipline policy.
