Transportation will be provided via Park District vans, and we'll arrive early to explore Woodstock Square and its local restaurants (lunch on your own). Poor Behavior 29574
Poor Behavior is a romantic comedy that explores the fragility of marriage. During a weekend getaway, tensions erupt when Maureen accuses her husband Ian of having an affair with their friend Ella. The situation spirals into chaos despite Ella’s husband Peter’s attempts to calm things down, resulting in a sharp and funny examination of jealousy and betrayal. The event includes lunch at Hackney’s, with menu options such as a Hackneyburger, Reuben, spinach and berry salad with chicken, or fish and chips.
Devil in the White City 29573
The 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition (World’s Fair) was the most attended event in U.S. history with over 27 million visitors. The impact that Fair had on the city was extraordinary. While this miraculous event was occurring, a serial killer was operating nearby out of his “murder castle”. We will be visiting locations like the Art Institute of Chicago, Museum of Science & Industry, Jackson Park, Midway Plaisance, and the site of the infamous “murder castle”. This is a 3-hour bus tour with a 75-minute, 1.5 mile stroll through Jackson Park. Lunch will be your choice of a corned beef or turkey Rueben, a bratwurst or a marinated portobello panini.
Heartbreak Hotel 29575
“The King” Takes the Stage is an official Elvis Presley bio-musical that explores the life and legacy of the rock ’n’ roll icon. The show follows Elvis as his younger self helps him reflect on key moments that shaped his career and identity as “The King of Rock and Roll.” Featuring over 40 of his greatest hits—including “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Hound Dog,” “Jailhouse Rock,” and “Love Me Tender”—the production celebrates his music and cultural impact. The outing also includes lunch at Dover Straits, with meal options such as pepper steak, Lake Superior whitefish with almondine sauce, chicken marsala, or jumbo shrimp with pasta.
Cubs vs Brewers Game 39574
Join us for a fun afternoon of baseball watching one of the oldest rivalries in baseball. We are traveling to see the Cubs vs. Brewers at American Family Field. There is a very moderate amount of walking as we will be walking from the parking lot to the stadium before and vice versa after the game. We will NOT be getting door to door service. The fee includes a printed ticket to the game (No MLB app needed) and transportation. Tickets are in Section 107. Lunch will be on your own.
The Wizard of Oz 39581
We’re off to see the Wizard! Click your heels three times and join The Cowardly Lion, Scarecrow, Tinman, Dorothy…and Toto too, as they follow the yellow brick road in search of their heart’s desires. For the first time on Metropolis’ Main Stage, L. Frank Baum’s tale comes to life in this extraordinary story of heart, friendship, courage, and belonging. This adaptation contains all of the Oscar-winning songs from the movie including “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and “We’re Off to See the Wizard.” No matter how far our journey takes us, there is no place like home. Soar over the rainbow to the “merry old land of Metropolis” and experience the excitement, enchantment, and exuberance of this timeless tale again…or for the very first time. Transportation provided by park district vans. Due to space constraints, we will not be able to accommodate walkers or wheelchairs on the vans. Lunch will be on your own.
