The Dundee Township Park District offers a variety of program choices for adults each season. The district offers programs for adults in the areas of Aquatics, Dance, Fitness, Special Events, Sports & Athletic Leagues and much, much more.
Programs for Adults (18+)
Kayaking/Archery
The Kayaking course begins with an introduction and safety talk. You will be outfitted with a personal floatation device, kayak and paddling equipment and then you’ll receive instruction on paddling techniques. Once everyone in the group is comfortable, we will set out on a guided interpretive tour with our group. *Archery – Due to the size of the group, we will be having “team style” archery. Transportation will be provided by Park District vans. What fun this will be!

Pickleball
A fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping pong. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. Equipment provided…. must wear athletic shoes.

Programs for Adults (50+)
The Adult Activities Center, where many adult 50+ programs are offered, is located in the Rakow Center at 665 Barrington Ave. in Carpentersville. It is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Chair Yoga
This yoga is adapted to the needs of people with mobility issues by designing workable poses on a chair. These positions are aimed to enhance overall physical fitness and enable you to continue normal daily activities, engage in hobbies, perform coordinated movements to keep from falling, control pain and derive a sense of well-being.

PiYoChi
A hybrid of Pilates, yoga and Tai-Chi. This class will focus on flexibility, balance and strength. Prerequisite: you must be able to get up and down from the floor.

REGISTER ONLINE
50/50 Plus
Join in on this class that’s 50% cardio, 50% strength PLUS some balance work. We’ll be doing low impact activities that can be modified for any fitness level and will use hand weights and resistance bands to increase strength. Great for all fitness levels, it’s 100% fun!

Day Trip Refund Policy
Because we must finalize full payment six weeks prior to our event, the following procedures are always in place: If you must cancel your day trip, we will do our best to find a replacement. When a replacement is found, our Park District will issue a full refund. If we do not find a replacement, we are unable to refund your money. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

An Afternoon at the Movies
Fourth Friday of the month at 12:30 pm. Check with the front desk for the movie title.
Bingo
First and third Friday each month from 12:30-2:30 pm, and the last Wednesday of each month from 9:00-11:30 am.
Billiards Tournament
Second Friday of the month at 9:00 am. Wii & Wii Tournaments Wii is offered on a weekly basis. Please check with the Adult Activities Center front desk for dates and times.

50+ Social Club Membership 50 years & older
Show your support to the most dynamic Adult Activities Center in the area. Everyone age 50 and older is welcome. Members receive our bi-monthly newsletter as well as an $8 discount on day trips and $5 on programs. If you join after December 31, you will not be entitled to the discounted price at the Thanksgiving and Christmas 2018 dinners.
