Athletics - Youth
The Dundee Township Park District offers a variety of sports for youth ages 2-17 years old. Our sports programs are ideal for beginners and those with advanced skills. Our individual and team sports focus on building skills and sportsmanship in a positive environment. Activities are available for preschoolers, grade schoolers, and middle schoolers, and are great for building athletic and social skills to last a lifetime.

Kindergarten Basketball League 37208
The Dundee Township Park presents our inaugural Kindergarten Basketball League! Designed for our youngest athletes, this league aims to introduce the fundamentals of basketball in a fun and supportive environment. Kids will learn basic skills like dribbling, passing, and teamwork while building confidence and making new friends. The program will take place on Saturdays only and consists of a 20–30-minute practice followed by a 20-minute game. Players are only eligible for this league if they are entering Kindergarten in the 2025/26 school year.
The Harry Smart Memorial Youth Basketball Scholarship
The late Harry Smart loved the game of basketball, and Harry enthusiastically supported Dundee Township Park District's efforts to provide a program for youngsters. Harry's family established a scholarship in his name, the funds used to assist youths who might not be able to afford to participate in our basketball league. Should you wish to enroll your son or daughter in youth basketball and utilize scholarship funds, please include a letter along with your registration form letting the Park District know your need.

Kindergarten Basketball League

Youth Flag Football (7 on 7)
Fall Youth League | Boys & Girls | Grades 1-8
The DTPD Flag Football League is partnered with Huntley and Hampshire Park Districts. This program provides an introduction to football and is great for boys and girls who choose not to play tackle football. We utilizes many of the guidelines set up by the NFL Flag Football League while implementing some of our own to better fit the needs of our community. The program's emphasis is on football's basic skills, including passing, pass catching, defending
and running. Players will also learn about competition and sportsmanship.

This is a great introduction to baseball. Children will learn base running, catching, throwing, and hitting from a tee. Love the game of soccer and it's the off-season? Do you play a lot, or do you play very little? Join us for a non-competitive skill development program. We will go over the basic skills of dribbling, passing, shooting, goaltending, and positions. There will be weekly progress on the technical aspects of the game. Soccer/Basketball Combo - Sports R Us 22953
This program is perfect for little ones who are full of energy and parents who are looking for an introduction to soccer and basketball. Parents will be working with their children to develop socialization, teamwork, direction following, and key motor skills. Dribbling, shooting, and passing will be some of the skills that the children will learn. The first 3 weeks of class will focus on soccer, while the final 3 weeks will focus on basketball. Kindergarten Basketball League 37208
The Dundee Township Park presents our inaugural Kindergarten Basketball League! Designed for our youngest athletes, this league aims to introduce the fundamentals of basketball in a fun and supportive environment. Kids will learn basic skills like dribbling, passing, and teamwork while building confidence and making new friends. The program will take place on Saturdays only and consists of a 20–30-minute practice followed by a 20-minute game. Players are only eligible for this league if they are entering Kindergarten in the 2025/26 school year.
Spring Youth Volleyball League 27052
We are partnering with the Hampshire Park District to offer a new Youth Volleyball League. Teams will practice one night a week, either on Monday or Friday, beginning March 10. Additionally, teams will play a 6 game schedule beginning on March 22. Games will be played at both the Randall Oaks Recreation Center and Hampshire Park District. Volunteer coaches are needed! We have found this exciting class to be just what parents need to give their children a positive first step into athletics. We play a different sport each week, including soccer, baseball, basketball, and more. Participants will start developing socialization, teamwork, direction following, and key motor skills. We appreciate your time and willingness to contribute to the community, and we have
a number of ways to help you be successful.
