The Dundee Township Park District has many fitness programs for all fitness levels. Please refer to the program guide for a full list of programs being offered each season.

Vertical Pilates (50 and Over) 20104
Would you like to strengthen your core without lying on the floor? Here’s the class for you! Performing standing Pilates exercises will strengthen and tone your core muscles as well as improve your balance and stretch your body.
Police Physical Achievement Test (P-PAT) 20114
In recognizing the importance of physical fitness in the performance of essential law enforcement duties, the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board has established the Peace Officer Wellness Evaluation Report (POWER) test to be provided to each candidate prior to entering the police academy. The Police Physical Achievement Test (P-PAT) is now being offered by the Dundee Township Park District and is open to all police officer candidates looking to begin their career in law enforcement. The Police Physical Achievement Test (P-PAT) will consist of the following four basic tests: Sit and Reach, 1 Minute Sit-up, 1 Repetition Maximum Bench Press and the 1.5 Mile run. At the end of the test, the candidate will be given a score sheet with the test results and whether the POWER test standards have been met. Please call (847) 428-7131x2203 to schedule an appointment!
Bollywood Dance 20122
Bring the glitzy Bollywood movies to life in this unique aerobic workout fusing traditional dance moves from India with modern Hip-Hop and Jazz! Pop Indian music will be used to enhance your BOLLYWOOD DANCE experience! All levels of fitness are welcome; no previous dance experience is necessary! Get your whole body fit while having fun!
Beginners Playlist (Group Fitness Recordings) 20126
Enjoy fun, low impact, high energy workouts without fancy choreography for those new to exercise or returning after a long absence. Build your cardio endurance by performing functional and body weight exercises at your own pace. When using equipment, proper body alignment, stances, grips and variations are shown for muscle specific strength exercises. These classes are designed to challenge you yet have you feeling successful afterward!
Fusion Playlist (Group Fitness Recordings) 20127
Here is a group of classes that combine or “fuse” different class formats, typically cardio with resistance. Many are interval training, which is one of the most effective methods for increasing your cardiovascular and physical fitness. Modifications are offered allowing you to take these workouts to your own level. When using equipment, proper body alignment, stances, grips and variations are shown for muscle specific strength exercises. Challenge yourself to burn the max amount of calories and exceed your expectations!
Mind/Body Playlist (Group Fitness Recordings) 20128
Time to de-stress, recharge and get in touch with how your body moves. Whether mixing a variety of Yoga styles or combining the best of Yoga and Pilates these classes will strengthen your core, sculpt your muscles, increase your flexibility and improve your balance. Some classes will challenge you through slow controlled movements and others will raise your heart rate; each will leave you feeling relaxed!! Suitable for all levels – beginners and advanced.
Dance Playlist (Group Fitness Recordings) 20129
Have your own Dance Party any time you’d like!! With Line Dance Fitness, you’ll learn some beginner to intermediate level dances to a variety of both traditional and non-traditional line dance music. Step Aerobics for Beginners & Beyond teaches you basic movements and patterns. Don’t have a step? Just do the class “on the floor”! Spice things up with MixxedFit® which adds explosive and body toning movements to your favorite songs. The choreography is simple, repetitive and easy to follow allowing you to create your own intensity. Called ‘exercise in disguise’, Zumba is a high energy, low impact, calorie-burning cardio workout. Dance like nobody’s watching!!
Resistance Playlist (Group Fitness Recordings) 20130
Take your strength training to new levels in these easy to follow total body strength workouts that utilize a variety of fitness equipment and class formats. Challenge all your major muscle groups by using the best weight room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls in varying tempos and ranges of motion. Or, work your core, balance and stabilization thru a variety of non-traditional but safe strength and toning exercises. Using proper technique is so important to avoid injury and to achieve the results you are working toward. We offer a Technique Class – Weights showing you proper body alignment, stances, grips and variations for muscle specific exercises. This type of functional training crosses over into daily activities increasing your strength, muscle endurance and definition and improving your posture, balance, flexibility and bone density. These are workouts you’ll come back to time after time!

Different Drummer is a unique sensory/motor program using drumsticks to tone the body. Add energetic music and you can’t help but have lots of fun!! No previous drumming experience or skills are required. Registrants may also participate while seated.

Welcome Summer with a two-hour ride outside (weather permitting) at the Randall Oaks Recreation Center!! Enjoy the various styles of your favorite DTPD Spin Instructors!! Join in the fun of challenges and games on the bikes!! Space is limited!!
