Group Exercise
We offer a variety of exercise classes that are held at the Rakow Center and Randall Oaks Recreation Center. All group exercise classes are free for Fitness Center Members and are available for men and women ages 12 years and older. For more information, call the Group Exercise Coordinator at (847) 428-7131 x2303. Classes are held in the Group Exercise Studio at Randall Oaks Recreation Center or the East/West Dundee Room at the Rakow Center unless otherwise noted. Group exercise class times include set-up and tear-down of equipment. If you are a new participant, please arrive five minutes before the scheduled class start time for initial instruction. Classes are not held when the Fitness Center is closed.

Group Exercise Passes
If you are not a member of our Fitness Centers and would like to attend Group Exercise Classes, you can customize your workout program through our group exercise passes! These passes are good for all land exercise classes, so you can mix and match workouts to fit your needs.

Senior Aerobics
A low-impact aerobics class that’s easy to follow in a casual and friendly atmosphere!

Senior Stretch & Strength This class focuses on strength and stretch moves for the entire body.

Spin
Circuit Spin*
Join us as we offer it all! Alternate between HIIT, Spin, Strength and Core! This 45-minute class is the perfect way to feel accomplished as you kickoff your weekend!
Spin*
This indoor cycling program is for participants of all fitness and skill levels. Control your own intensity while being challenged with overall body conditioning.
Spin/Abs*
45-minutes of spin followed by 15-minutes of stretching and ab work.
Spin/Sculpt
This is a 50/50 class half spin, half body sculpt- designed to give you a stronger body thru a high voltage cardio workout combined with muscle-specific toning and strength exercises.
Total Body Spin*
This workout combines an energizing ride followed by strength work for the upper body and core. Great for all fitness levels, you’ll leave feeling “totally” conditioned!

Dance
Line Dance Fitness
Learn beginner level and some intermediate level line dances, like the Electric Slide, Tush Push, Boot Scootin’ and more. Traditional dances to country music along with not so traditional dances to noncountry music will be taught.
MixxedFit®
Work out to your favorite songs, spicing things up by adding boot camp inspired exercises making your workout more effective and challenging. The choreography is simple, repetitive and easy to follow allowing you to create your own intensity. Focus on getting lost in the music, not on complicated dance steps.
Multi-Step
High energy and choreography will guarantee a fun workout! This unique format uses two to four step boards to increase your cardio endurance!
Zumba™
Intense aerobic dance workout with pulsating Latin music. High energy-low impact. Ditch the workout and join the party!

Pilates
Pilates is a mind/body relationship that focuses on breathing and the powerhouse muscles (abdominals and lower back). Pilates rings will be used.

Incorporating traditional Pilates movements with barre combinations using equipment such as weights, balls and bands

Fusion
Boot Camp Conditioning
If you are looking to lose, weight and firm your body, this is the class for you. Our Boot Camp instructor will work your cardio and make sure your muscles get a good workout too.
BOSU Fit
Want to work on balance? How about strengthening your core? This class will give you that and more using the BOSU to challenge yourself in ways you never imagined.
Cardio/Strength
The first half of the class will be a cardio workout; kickboxing, step or circuit. The second half will incorporate strength training. Great for all levels of fitness.
Cardio Kickbox Power
Build your confidence and cardiovascular endurance with this high energy class incorporating a variety of punching/kicking combos, strength & balance work while increasing your coordination and stamina! High and low impact options make this a great class for all fitness levels.
Circuit Fit
This circuit-style class uses a variety of cardio/ sports-related drills set up in stations. Improve your overall fitness level by working at your own pace but pushing your limits.
Core Express
A beginner to intermediate level class starting with 20 minutes of core-blasting moves designed to improve your everyday activities by strengthening your abs, pelvis, glutes and lower back! Weights may be used for some movements. Then cool down with an extended stretch and breathing exercises that will help release any tension and improve your mobility to jumpstart your day.
CSI
Wake up your morning with CSI (Cardio and Strength Intervals). This class will take you through a variety of cardio including kickboxing and PILOXING®, followed by strength training with weights.
Freestyle Fitness
This class has it all! Each week features a different theme (endurance, strength, total body and stations) with new exercises to challenge you in new and exciting ways. This class is for all fitness levels!!
PILOXING®

This class will utilize a variety of cardio resistance equipment for muscle strengthening and cardio endurance workouts. Balance, core and stretching are included for complete total body conditioning.

Barbell Fitness
Take your strength training to new levels in this easy to follow total body strength workout that utilizes fitness barbells. All major muscle groups will be worked with both heavy weights for muscular strength and light weights for muscular endurance.
Body Sculpt
Improve muscle tone, strength, posture, and balance with this total body workout.
Bodypump™ *
The original barbell class that strengthens your entire body. This 60-minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls.

Functional Strength Training

You will use heavier weights and fewer reps to increase muscular strength rather than muscular endurance. This class is appropriate for all fitness levels.
RIP*
If you love BODYPUMP™ then you will love RIP. Incorporates exercises from both traditional and non-traditional strength training and matches movements to music to create a simple, fun, and effective way to strength train.

Beginner
Forever Strong
This class will keep you moving by working major and minor muscle groups addressing strength, muscle endurance, flexibility, balance and coordination. Great class for all levels of experience – especially beginners!
Lo-Impact Tone & Tighten
Experience a different workout each week focusing on toning and tightening all the major muscle groups of the body! You will enjoy different formats (circuits, stations, 50/50), using a variety of equipment (weights, balls, bands). All fitness levels will benefit from taking this class!
