Group Exercise Class Descriptions

Most classes are light to moderate intensity. Class formats have modifications to accommodate all different levels of fitness. Please let your fitness class instructor know if you are new to the class or need modifications so they can offer you options.

Classes run 45-55 minutes unless otherwise noted in the class description. The equipment you need will be listed in the class description. Classes using chairs, barres, or water fitness equipment will provide these for class participants.

Beginner

Build strength, improve balance, and engage your core with moves that boost your metabolism and overall health! Challenge yourself at your own pace to feel empowered and energized in a friendly, no-pressure environment where safety, good form and feeling great are our top priorities! It’s fitness that meets you where you are!

Classic Cardio

Come join the fun in this high-energy, low-impact cardio class! Enjoy the music without the fancy footwork – there may be a few “retro” steps, too!! All fitness levels welcome – especially beginners!

Classic Cardio Drumming

This 50/50 class combines two fan favorites: Classic Cardio and Different Drummer. Half of the class will be cardio intervals with weight training. The other half will be cardio drumming set to upbeat music.

Drums Alive®

This 50/50 class combines two fan favorites: Classic Cardio and Different Drummer. Half of the class will be cardio intervals with weight training. The other half will be cardio drumming set to upbeat music.

Different Drummer

Different Drummer is a unique sensory/motor program using drumsticks to tone the body. Add energetic music and you can’t help but have lots of fun! No previous drumming experience or skills are required. Participants may also be seated, if necessary.

Forever Strong

Work your major and minor muscle groups with movements addressing strength, muscle endurance, flexibility, balance, and coordination. Great for all levels of experience – especially beginners!

Line Dance

Whether you are taking your first steps onto the dance floor or looking to refine your moves, our Line Dance class offers a welcoming and energetic environment! This dynamic and engaging dance class is specifically designed for participants who are eager to explore the rhythm and excitement of popular line dances.

Lo-Impact Tone & Tighten

Experience a different workout each week focusing on toning and tightening all the major muscle groups of the body! Enjoy diverse formats (circuits, stations, 50/50), using a variety of equipment (weights, balls, bands). All fitness levels will benefit from taking this class!

Dance

Bollywood Dance

This unique aerobic workout fuses traditional dance moves from India with modern Hip-Hop and Jazz! Pop Indian music will be used to enhance your BOLLYWOOD DANCE experience! All levels of fitness and dance are welcome.

Line Dance

Whether you’re taking your first steps onto the dance floor or looking to refine your moves, our Line Dance class offers a welcoming and energetic environment! This dynamic and engaging dance class is specially designed for participants who are eager to explore the rhythm and excitement of popular (but not necessarily Country) line dances!

MixxedFit®

Work out to your favorite songs and add explosive and body toning movements making your workout more effective and challenging. The choreography is simple and easy to follow, allowing you to create your own intensity and focus on getting lost in the music.

Multi-Step

High-energy and exciting choreography will guarantee a fun workout! This unique format uses two to four steps to increase your cardio endurance!

REFIT®

REFIT® is a “feel good” cardio-based fitness format tailored for every Body! Each class is an experience with uplifting music and fun, easy to follow choreography. REFIT® nurtures a sense of community and acceptance. Come join the REFIT® Revolution!

Zumba®

Combine low and high intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning Dance Fitness Party! As you feel the Latin and World rhythms, you’ll see why Zumba® is often called “exercise in disguise”!

Zumba®/MixxedFit®

Can’t get enough Dance in your week? Come join the fun of our first combined class of Zumba® and MixxedFit®. Called ‘exercise in disguise’, Zumba® is a high energy, low impact, calorie-burning cardio workout. Spice things up with MixxedFit® which adds explosive and body toning movements to your favorite songs. The choreography is simple, repetitive, and easy to follow allowing you to create your own intensity. A shuffled playlist will add to the excitement of “what’s next”!

Fusion

Barre Sculpt

Get a great full body workout combining elements of Pilates, Yoga, Strength, and Dance with varied levels of cardio intensity. Lighter weights, more repetitions, and larger ranges of motion are used to tone, sculpt, and stretch those muscles.

Boot Camp Conditioning

If you are looking to lose weight and firm your body, this is the class for you! Our Boot Camp Instructor will work your cardio and make sure your muscles get a good workout too.

BOSU Fit

Want to work on balance? How about strengthening your core? This class will give you that and more using the BOSU to challenge yourself in ways you never imagined.

Cardio Kickbox Power

Build your confidence and cardiovascular endurance with this high-energy class incorporating a variety of punching/kicking combos as well as strength and balance work while increasing your coordination and stamina! High and low impact options make this a great experience for all fitness levels.

Cardio/Strength

Begin your workout with cardio (kickboxing, step or circuit) and complete it with strength training. Great for all levels of fitness.

Circuit Fit

Experience a variety of cardio sports-related drills to improve your overall fitness. Work at your own pace but be motivated to push your limits.

Core Express

A beginner to intermediate level class starting with core-blasting moves designed to improve your everyday activities by strengthening your abs, pelvis, glutes and lower back! Weights may be used for some movements. Cool down with an extended stretch and breathing exercises that will help release any tension and improve your mobility to jump start your day.

CSI

Get a jump start on your weekend workouts with CSI (Cardio and Strength Intervals). Challenge yourself through a variety of cardio formats followed by strength training using weights.

Freestyle Fitness

Want it all? Here it is!! Each week features a different theme (endurance, strength, total body, and stations) with exercises to challenge you in new and exciting ways. For all fitness levels!!

Interval Training

Burn some serious calories by performing functional and body weight exercises in quick bursts that will get your heart rate up to increase your cardiovascular endurance. Follow that with more traditional strength moves for a total body workout.

PILOXING®

Uniquely blends the power, speed, and agility of boxing with the beautiful sculpting and flexibility of Pilates. It’s a fat-torching, muscle-sculpting, core-centered, interval workout.

Strong Nation-HIIT

If your goal is to burn the max amount of calories while toning your arms, abs, glutes and legs, try this HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) workout! This class specifically combines body weight, muscle conditioning, plyometric and boot camp-style moves with a variety of custom music, allowing you to finish the workout and exceed your expectations.

Total Body Blast

Incorporates fat-burning cardio drills, muscular strength and endurance training using a variety of equipment or body weight, balance challenges, and core work, ending with a relaxing stretch. Multiple fitness level options are offered to create a challenging workout perfect for you!

Total Body Conditioning

Utilizes a variety of equipment for muscle strengthening and cardio endurance workouts. Balance, core and stretching are included for complete total body conditioning.

Mind & Body

Fitness Pilates

A core-centered workout where the movements are challenged by changes in tempo, range of motion or by adding resistance thru the use of fitness equipment.

FlameFLOW Yoga

The worlds of Yoga and High Intensity Interval Training collide: a beautiful Vinyasa flow sprinkled with some cardio guaranteed to make your heart rate jump. No two classes are alike!! Everyone is welcome! Modifications will be given, sweat will pour, and fun will be had!!

Fusion Yoga

Experience a mix of different Yoga styles intended to challenge, strengthen and relax your body.

Gentle Flow Yoga

Learn a breathing technique that heats the body from within and improves your focus. Combining sun salutation-based, breath synchronized and mindful movements, this challenging class will leave you feeling reinvigorated yet relaxed.

Happy Hour Yoga

Take time between your work day and evening to clear your mind, de-stress, recharge your body and have some fun in our multi-level class of Yoga postures.

Mindful Yoga

In some translations, the word Yoga means to “unite” the body and the mind. The word Mindful can refer to the practice of “remembering” to be more present. This class may help you practice taking care of your body and your mind both on and off the mat.

Pilates

Pilates is a mind/body relationship which focuses on breathing and strengthening the powerhouse muscles (abdominals and lower back). Pilates rings will be used.

Pilates Mix

Incorporates traditional Pilates movements with barre combinations using equipment such as weights, balls, and bands.

PIYO

PIYO is a unique blend of strength training and core conditioning – a perfect combination of Pilates and Yoga set to vibrant music. It is all about energy, power and rhythm. This is unlike anything you’ve ever done before!

Revitalizing Yoga

Wind down your week with a gentle Yoga class including breathwork, stretches, long Yin holds and ending with deep relaxation. Yoga massage balls may also be used.

Slow Flow/Yin Yoga

A relaxing and restorative practice to improve flexibility begins with a Slow Flow, creating a sense of calm in the mind and body. The Yin practice allows you to stretch deeper by lengthening connective tissues and focus on your breath to anchor and clear your mind. Good for beginners to advanced!

Slow Yoga

Encourages deep relaxation via the slow release of tension in the muscles and spine in order to sustain inner contentment amidst the stressors of life.

Sunday Stretch

Need a designated, uninterrupted stretch time? Join us for a stretch class that will leave you feeling refreshed and ready for the week ahead!

Tai-Chi QiGong

Tai-Chi QiGong involves slow, gentle movements synced with deep breathing and mental awareness to strengthen and stretch the body. Focus on how your body moves thru space to improve your balance and safely increase your body’s ranges of motion.

Vinyasa Yoga

This dynamic and flowing style of Yoga will increase strength, flexibility and bring you to a place of total relaxation. All levels are welcome. Modifications will be offered. Enjoy a chance to learn more and challenge yourself!

Yin/Yang Yoga

Blend two styles of Yoga into one practice! Bring together the benefits of passively holding poses with a more dynamic strength building flow.

Yoga Body & Mind

De-stress and recharge your body through Yoga postures combined with traditional strengthening and stretching exercises.

Yoga for Every Body

No matter who you are or what your abilities are, Yoga benefits Every Body. This class offers poses combined in a playful flow sequence designed to build strength and greater flexibility. Supportive props are available and encouraged.

Yoga in the Park

Join us throughout the summer for this great workout! Set the mood for your weekend by practicing several styles of Yoga to clear your mind and refresh your body. Please bring your own Yoga mat, towel, and water. It is best not to eat within one hour of class.

Yoga Sculpt

Sculpt/Flex/Flow! An all-around great workout with relaxation time at the end. Yoga Sculpt incorporates light weights to sculpt your body and traditional Vinyasa Yoga flows to improve your cardio and flexibility.

Yogalates

Combine the best of Yoga and Pilates for core power, sculpted muscles, body strength and flexibility. Suitable for all experience levels – beginners to advanced - however, it may not be suitable for pregnant women.

Barbell Fitness

Take your strength training to new levels in this easy-to-follow total body strength workout using fitness barbells. All major muscle groups will be worked with both heavy weights for muscular strength and light weights for muscular endurance.

BODYPUMP™

BODYPUMP™ is the original barbell-based workout specifically designed to help you get lean, toned, and fit. Combines motivating music and scientifically proven movements to help you achieve these targets quicker than working out on your own.

Body Sculpt

Improve muscle tone, strength, posture and balance with this total body workout that uses traditional and non-traditional, yet safe, resistance exercises.

Functional Strength Training

Not only will you increase your strength, but you will also improve your balance and flexibility with this resistance workout! This type of functional training crosses over into daily activities and overall athleticism!

Power Hour

Pure Strength

Bring the weight room into the studio! Use heavier weights and fewer reps to increase muscular strength rather than muscular endurance. Appropriate for all fitness levels!

If you love BODYPUMP™, then you will love RIP! Incorporates exercises from both traditional and non-traditional techniques and matches these movements to music to create a simple, safe, fun, and effective method of strength training.

Experience an energizing ride followed by strength work for the upper body and core. Great for all fitness levels, you’ll leave feeling “totally” conditioned!

Chair Yoga

Practice Yoga adapted to the needs of those with mobility issues. Be led through seated Yoga poses designed to enhance your overall physical fitness and control pain. You’ll perform coordinated movements to improve your balance and reduce your chances of falling. All this leads to a greater sense of well-being during your normal daily activities!

Senior Aerobics/Stretch & Strength

Join us for easy-to-follow, low-impact aerobics in a casual and friendly atmosphere! Strength movements follow and the class ends with stretching for the entire body. You are encouraged to work at your own pace with modifications offered throughout the class. Come join the fun and be challenged at the same time! Non Fitness Member Punch Passes are available for this class. Ten half-hour sessions for $20(R)/$25(NR).

Vertical Pilates

Would you like to strengthen your core without lying on the floor? Here’s the class for you! Performing standing Pilates exercises will strengthen and tone your core muscles as well as improve your balance and stretch your body.
