REGION 8 RETURNS TO PHASE 4
Kane County, Region 8, has been cleared to move to Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois Plan. Safety continues to be our top priority. Face coverings and social distancing are still required at all times, but some restrictions have been modified. Below is a list of a few updates and helpful reminders for Phase 4.
FACILITY UPDATES
The new guidelines affect many Park District programs and facilities. Below is a list of the adjustments for Phase 4:
Rakow Center
- Registration Desk
- Monday-Friday 9:00 am-8:00 pm; Saturdays 9:00 am-Noon
- Building Hours
- Monday-Friday 5:30 am-8:00 pm
- Saturday & Sunday 7:00 am-5:00 pm
- Indoor Track
- Reservations required. Reservations can be made the day before your visit by phone Monday-Friday 5:30 am-7:30 pm and Saturday-Sunday 7:00 am-5:00 pm. For same-day reservations, you must call for availability. Each time slot is 45-minutes, beginning on the hour.

- Face coverings must be worn at all times.

- Track capacity: 15 persons, per time slot

NEW Basketball Hoop Reservations
Beginning on Monday, February 8, reservations can be made to reserve a basket at one of our gyms.
Reservations Required
- Reservations can only be booked a day in advance.
- To make a reservation at the Rakow Center, call the front desk at (847) 428-7131 x1101.
- To make a reservation at the Randall Oaks Recreation Center, call the front desk at (847) 428-7131 x4260.
Hours
- Please call for availability due to limited time slots available.
- One-hour time slots starting on the hour.
Fees
- Fitness members are free; Non-members are $5 per person
- Check-in at the registration desk and pay the appropriate fee. Only paid customers can be in the gym.
Important Reminders
- Face coverings are required at all times.
- One person per basket. A family of 3 (no more) of the same household can utilize one basket. The fee is still $5 per person.
- No games or sharing of baskets can take place under the new mitigations.
- Guests must bring their own basketball. Basketballs will not be provided.

Fitness Centers
The fitness centers will continue to operate at 50% capacity. Reservations and specific time slots are no longer required. Face coverings must be worn at all times in the fitness center while engaged in exercise inside the fitness center and group exercise studio. Facility Rentals
The Dundee Township Park District is accepting private rental requests for our indoor facilities within the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (DCEO) guidelines beginning on March 1. Capacity restrictions limit group sizes to 50 people or 50% of room capacity, whichever is less. Please review the current guidelines below regarding our current facilities available for private events. Rental approvals are at the discretion of management.

General Programming & Special Events
Following physical distancing guidelines in Phase 4, in-person programming is permitted with gathering limits to the lesser of 50 people or 50% of room capacity. The District will continue offering a variety of programs and recreation opportunities. In-person winter programs are beginning this month, and registration is still open! Our Digital Spring Program Guide is available online. This guide will span March-May and will include Summer Camp programming. Registration for residents will begin on February 15 and for nonresidents on February 22.

Randall Oaks Zoo
The Randall Oaks Zoo is closed and plans to reopen for the 2021 season on March 27.
Golf Courses
The updated golf guidelines can be found on the Randall Oaks Golf Club and Bonnie Dundee Golf Club websites.
PARKS
Our parks are open. If you visit one of our parks, you must follow CDC recommendations of social distancing and staying home if you are sick.
Playgrounds
Our playgrounds are open! Please exercise caution and use at your discretion.
- Playground use is limited to no more than 50 people at a time. If a playground is at capacity, please come back at a later time.
- Maintain a distance of at least 6 feet away from people you don’t live with.
- Masks or face coverings must be worn when not playing or when within six feet of other people.
- Playgrounds are not sanitized. Please follow CDC guidelines and wash or sanitize hands frequently.
- DO NOT USE playgrounds if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms.

The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) will continue to track our region’s positivity rate, and updates concerning the Park District will be posted to dtpd.org. For additional details, please review the following:

Each area of service will have a set of guidelines that must be followed to ensure safe participation. For the safety of all employees and patrons, the Dundee Township Park District requests that all facility guests and program participants over the age of 2 to follow IDPH guidelines and wear face coverings when inside the building and any time when 6-ft. of social distancing cannot be maintained.
The Dundee Township Park District will not be taking temperatures of patrons entering the building. Instead, we ask that all patrons utilizing the facility perform a self-check before coming to the facility. Ask yourself the following questions before coming to the facility. If you answer yes to any of these questions, please do not come on-site that day to help prevent the spread of illness. Staff may ask you if you’ve completed the self-check upon entering the facility.
-Do you have a fever of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher?
-Do you have a cough?
-Do you have a sore throat?
-Do you have muscle aches?
-Have you been experiencing difficulty breathing or shortness of breath?
-Have you had a new or unusual headache?
-Have you noticed a loss of taste or loss of smell?
-Have you been experiencing chills or rigors (i.e., a sudden feeling of cold with shivering accompanied by a rise in temperature)?
-Do you have any gastrointestinal concerns (e.g., abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea)?
-Have you tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days?
-Is anyone in your household displaying any symptoms (as listed above) of COVID-19?
-To the best of your knowledge, in the last 14 days, have you come into close contact with anyone who has tested positive for or been diagnosed with COVID-19?
In addition, the Dundee Township Park District will be following all cleaning procedures based on the CDC recommendations. Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the facility, and desk shields have been placed at the registration desks to protect you and our staff. Face coverings will be worn by all Park District staff inside the building.
