Golf Women’s Intro to Golf This program is centered on fundamental elements of the game making it perfect for beginning players and players with moderate experience. We know the game of golf can be intimidating. Through this program our PGA Professional staff will not only teach you the proper technique, we will put you at ease with all elements of the game. We will show you where to go when you arrive, which clubs you should use, the etiquette you should follow, how to drive a golf cart, etc. It is our goal to provide a memorable experience and a fun learning environment for all involved. If you have your own set of clubs we encourage you to bring them to each session, if not, no problem just let us know and we can provide them for you. We recommend you wear gym shoes if you do not own a pair of golf shoes, no sandals please. Day 1: Brief Facility Tour & Putting Instruction Day 2: Irons Day 3: Irons/Hybrids/Woods Day 4: Driver Day 5: On-Course 23300-01 April 19-May 17 Tu/5:30 pm-6:30 pm $175(R)/$185(NR) ROGC OAKS PGA JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE (U13) 9-13 years* Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced North Chicago Champions & Midwest Regional Qualifiers 2014, 2016, 2017 Each week a different rules, etiquette, course management, or skill will be discussed. Some weeks juniors will work purely on skill development, while other weeks they will play 6 to 9 holes of golf, supervised. Players in this league will also have official matches held in the evening. These matches will be contested against other teams within the Oaks PGA Junior Golf League. Players will have an opportunity to make the “All-Star” team based on their performance. The best “All-Star” team in the mid-west has the opportunity to compete against the best teams in the country in the PGA Junior League National Championship in the Fall of 2022. Your entry fee includes: golf, team shirt & hat, staff supervision, facility usage, and prizes. SPACE IS LIMITED TO THE FIRST 48 REGISTERED JUNIORS. PARTICIPANTS ARE NOT REQUIRED TOWEAR A MASK DURING THIS PROGRAM. HOWEVER, THEY SHOULD HAVE A MASK WITH THEM IN CASES WHERE THEY MAY NEED TO ACCESS THE CLUBHOUSE. Cannot be 14 prior to 8/1. This “crash course” in the fundamentals will get them ready to impress their coaches come tryouts! A combination of full swing, short game, and course management instruction will take place.
