Youth Sports Coaching Opportunities
As our programs grow, so does our need for coaches; the more coaches we have, the more teams can be formed. To volunteer please fill out the volunteer application form and return it to the Rakow Center or Randall Oaks Recreation Center front desk.
The Harry Smart Memorial Youth Basketball Scholarship
The late Harry Smart loved the game of basketball and Harry enthusiastically supported Dundee Township Park District’s efforts to provide a program for youngsters. Harry’s family established a scholarship in his name; the funds of which are used to assist youths who might not be able to afford to participate in our basketball league. Should you wish to enroll your son or daughter in youth basketball and utilize scholarship funds, please include a letter along with your registration form letting the Park District know of your need. For more information, contact Ross Bertone, Deputy Director, at (847) 428-7131 x4005.
Racquetball
Enjoy the exciting and fast-paced sport of racquetball at one of the Rakow Center’s courts. Each court offers hardwood floors and climate control; two of them boast glass back walls. The courts may also be transformed for wallyball play. Come and enjoy the best maintained courts in the area.
