A fun, rhythmic style that introduces the basic jazz steps to young dancers. This class focuses on developing the love of dance and movement, as well as building self-confidence.
Tap & Jazz I 14350
This is an introduction to tap and jazz, focusing on the fundamental footwork and technique of tap and jazz dancing. This class is geared towards the dancer who has had little to no dance training. Class begins with a center warm-up and progresses to steps across the floor, combinations, and repetitive exercises. This class will create a strong foundation for the beginner dancer.
General Youth
Horsemanship for Kids 14230
Join in the fun with beginning riding lessons! Participants will explore the proper ways to groom, tack and handle horses. In the saddle, you will learn the basics of riding at the walk and trot. Lessons will be held in our indoor arena during inclement weather. Make up class held at the end of the six weeks. First day of class is orientation and groundwork. Riders should wear jeans or Jodhpur pants and hard soled riding or hiking boots with a small, low heel. Must have an approved riding helmet or bicycle helmet to ride. Baton Twirling- Level 1 14260
Learn the fundamentals of baton twirling, and dance in this fun and creative class. Basic full hand twirls, simple tosses, and dance steps will be incorporated into fun combinations. Students will improve hand-eye coordination, musicality, and rhythm learning both individual skills and short routines. Please wear athletic clothing that is easy to move in (no jeans) tennis shoes and have hair pulled back off of the face. Batons will be available to purchase from the instructor. Children's Theater- Guys & Dolls Jr. 14280
Guys and Dolls JR. follows gambler, Nathan Detroit, as he tries to find the cash to set up the biggest dice game in town while the authorities breathe down his neck. Meanwhile, his girlfriend and nightclub performer, Adelaide, laments that they've been engaged for fourteen years without ever getting married. Guys and Dolls JR. takes us from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, but everyone eventually ends up right where they belong. This is a tuition-based program, where all actors are assigned parts based on their auditions. Students will study the work of the actor/singer/dancer and use their gained knowledge to develop as performers. Rehearsals will take place on Tuesday evenings once a week. Tech week will take place the week of March 17 - 20; with live performances on Friday, March 21 at 7:00 pm, and Saturday, March 22 at 2:00 pm on stage at the Rakow Adult Activities Center. Each Actor will receive 2 free tickets. Others will be available for purchase at the Rakow Front Desk. Fee includes a t-shirt for the actor.

Love is a Cabaret- All-Ages cabaret-style show featuring the actors of DTPD to be held one night only on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 7 PM in the Adult Activity Center. Rehearsals will start on Sunday, January 5th, and go until Sunday, February 2nd. Tech rehearsal will be on Thursday, February 6th from 6 - 9 pm.

Competition Twirling Team 14265

Soccer Training Camp - Sports R Us 12965
Join us for a non-competitive, skill development program. We will go over the basic skills of dribbling, passing, shooting, goaltending, and positions. There will be weekly progress on the technical aspects of the game. Our speed and agility training session is built to make our participants faster, stronger, and more agile athletes. Beginner tumbling is great for athletes that are just starting out with tumbling, self-taught, or looking to perfect skills for cheer. All athletes are assessed to ensure accuracy of technique and safety to decrease the potential long term risk of injury. During assessments Coach's will determine what skill level athlete are at to ensure they are in the correct level tumbling class. Skill assessment includes: forward & backward roll, handstand (floor & wall) 10 seconds, standing bridge 5 seconds with kickover to lunge, handstand to bridge with stand up, handstand to 1 leg bridge with 1 leg kickover, standing bridge, cartwheel (straight line), roundoff, power hurdle and 2 step hurdle into roundoff. Intro to Cheer & Beginning Tumble 1 14197
This class will expose potential cheerleader to explore and develop the skills necessary to become well-rounded cheerleaders. The skills include tumbling, jumps, motions and stunting. Frozen Oaks 5K 10107
Join us on Saturday, February 8, for our 6th annual Frozen Oaks 5K! This event will take place at the Randall Oaks Golf Club where you will twist and turn through the scenic Randall Oaks Golf Course! All pre-registered participants will receive a race swag bag which includes one ticket for the chili bar that will be located in the Randall Oaks Golf Clubhouse as well as one drink ticket that can be redeemed for a soda or adult beverage (Bloody Mary, a glass of wine or bottle/draft beer). Awards will be given to the overall men's and women's winners as well as the top three finishers for both men & women in each age division. A Frozen Oaks 5K sweatshirt is guaranteed for all pre-registered runners. *Registration closes Monday, February 3 at 11:59 pm. Youth Soccer DTPD - Spring Program Outdoor 27186
Whether your child is a first-time player or has played in our leagues before they will learn skills and stay active. All while having fun on the soccer field. Practice: Practices for this league are held on weeknights beginning the week of March 31 (tentative). Coaches will contact players at least one week prior to the first practice. Games: Game days are Saturdays with the possibility of a weeknight game. Grades 3-8 may play games at other park districts including Hampshire, Huntley, Genoa and Marengo. Teams: Team placements are solely at the discretion of the Dundee Township Park District. Coaches will contact players by the first week of April. There is NO guarantee that your friendship request will be fulfilled. The friend must also request you back. Due to the size of the program, we are unable to honor all requests. You are able to play up a level if you choose but must register in person at one of our recreation centers. Uniform: Shin guards are mandatory (not provided), soccer shoes are optional but recommended. REGISTRATION is on a first-come, first-served basis; divisions may fill up quickly so be sure to sign up early. Fees: Early - On or before 2/1- $105/$122 Late - On or after 2/2 - $125/$142
Pre K - Kindergarten Soccer League 27180
This program will focus on the fundamentals of soccer. Each participant will be assigned to a team with a volunteer parent coach. Players will learn rules and focus on developing soccer skills. Instructional games will be held on Saturdays. Practices will be assigned for one day during the week beginning March 31 (weather permitting). Instructional games will be scheduled on Saturdays. Your child's assigned coach will contact you regarding practice times and game schedule. Uniforms: Shin guards are mandatory but not provided. Soccer cleats are optional but recommended. Jersey and socks are included in the fee. RORC and the Rakow Center have sample sizes for those interested in seeing a jersey. All players must have turned 4 by the start of practice (March 31). No Exceptions

Game days are primarily on Saturdays. Games will start January 11. Some Sunday and weeknight games may be scheduled if needed. Teams may play away games against other surrounding towns. This will be determined based on the number of teams in each league. Times, dates, and locations will be provided for the entire year before the first scheduled game. T-Shirts will be given to 1st-2nd grade and reversible jersey given to grades 3rd-8th for game days. Teams for grades 1st-4th will be formed by the Athletic Supervisor. Grades 1-4 are the only levels we accept friend requests. Friend requests will be reviewed but are not guaranteed due to the growing size of our program. Evaluations will be held for all players in grades 5th-8th followed by a player draft to form teams. Players are not required to attend evaluations but it is recommended.

Basketball Training Camp - Sports R Us 12991
This 5-week basketball class will help you to the next level. We will enhance the basics you may have learned, along with advancing your skills that will concentrate on more teamwork and game strategies. Our speed, agility, and jump training session is built to make our participants faster, stronger, and more agile athletes. We use SKLZ equipment for our class which is highly recommended by multiple coaches and trainers. A scrimmage game will be played at the end of each class. Contractual

The Golden Eagles Tennis Camp is directed by Jon Betts in his 20th year as head coach of the Jacobs Golden Eagles girls' and boys' tennis programs. Our goal is to inspire and develop the next generation of Golden Eagles Tennis players to continue the programs tremendous legacy of success. No prior experience is necessary. These camps are a great way for your child to learn tennis, improve their skills, meet new friends and have fun.
Baton Twirling- Level 1 14260
Learn the fundamentals of baton twirling, and dance in this fun and creative class. Basic full hand twirls, simple tosses, and dance steps will be incorporated into fun combinations. Students will improve hand-eye coordination, musicality, and rhythm learning both individual skills and short routines. Please wear athletic clothing that is easy to move in (no jeans) tennis shoes and have hair pulled back off of the face. Batons will be available to purchase from the instructor. Building on the skills from Level 1, more complex twirling and dance skills will be introduced. Get ready for a variety of releases and catches in both hands, high aerials, and more difficult rolls. In this class, we will be integrating baton work with more intricate body movements, connecting individual skills into combinations, learning a variety of receptions, and practicing taking our eyes off of a baton in the air (and still catching it!). Jazz shoes are required for this class. CONTRACTUAL
Competition Twirling Team 14265
This competition team is open to anyone enrolled in Level 2 or higher. We will learn a dance twirl routine that will be performed at three competitions, including State and Regionals in June and July. Additional fees for costume and competition registration will be required. CONTRACTUAL
